John recently completed this converted Forgeworld Terminator. It's painted to our standard 'premium tabletop' level, so nothing too fancy. The client specified he'd like a cloak, standard lightning claws rather than the fancy Forgeworld chainfists, a ship-board environment and chapter symbol with a skull and chainsword (which was designed by Maz and freehanded by John). WIP Space Hulk Terminators and CAT (12)
Bar the varnishing, the Space Hulk Terminators and CAT are complete. I've washed back the foliage so it's not such an in-your-face green now, and I think it looks a lot better. These two images are indicative of the final look - once the varnish is on, I'll reshoot the entire commission for a consistent photo set. As ever, click on the images above for a larger view.

Some More Stuff Built!
I have now finished building the final fifteen of the infantry for the Elysian army. I have also put together the rest of the bloodbowl team. My aim for today is to paint five Elysians and a couple of bloodbowl players... Lets see what I can do :P

WIP Space Hulk Terminators and CAT (11)
So the last two Terminators are all but done - just the basing (and I notice from these pics I've forgotten the purity seal on the Librarian's leg) to do, then it's on to varnishing. Which means some repairs on the airbrush and a trip to buy jars to mix up varnish in.
Pretty pleased with the OSL and plasma effect on the Librarian. Click the images below for a larger view.

Bloodbowl Team update 19/04/2011
I have painted a further five members of the team and also added some extra gore here and there to the rest of the team. I will get a picture of the team so far as a group soon. Sorry about the shoddy photography, I just can't seem to get the lighting right today...
Mordheim Freelancer Knight
It's just a few short months until Games Day and the Golden Demon competition. This year, as I've got a lot of commissions on, and a lot more categories to hit, I'll be working on entries a lot earlier. That's the plan, anyway.
Here's the first entry - a Mordheim Freelancer Knight (or Empire Free Company champion) - one of my favourite miniatures GW have ever released. I'll probably do the mounted version on a more rural base though as befits the nice horse. That'll probably be for next year though. I've used NMM as a practice exercise to assist with some of the blend-heavy OSL jobs I'm doing at the moment, as well as to try to improve my NMM and metallics handling. I'm still not sure whether or not to bother with a plaque or keep the plinth plain.

Tom Update! 17/04/2011
Command Squad 3 done, that's what 55 now? I have 5 special weapons near completion too... can't wait to get cracking with those Venators!!! Just 15 more troops and I will on to them.
I thinly washed down the clothes and green areas on these to give a less flat and less pastel feel.
I have more in the pipeline, I just prefer to show more finalised models on here...
Thanks,
Tom

Grey Seer Skrittar Sculpt Complete
Mark's superb work on this sculpt based on artwork from 'Uniforms and Heraldry of the Skaven' draws to a close.
Mark explains: "With the whole piece finished up, it's really come together and has a lot of atmosphere. It's also a bit of a beast, the base is 60mm to allow it to rank up in units and it fills it nicely. I've stayed as faithful as I can to the artwork, and I'm pleased with how close I've managed to stay. To make it easier to paint, I've kept it in several parts. Two of the bearers have pins that fit into holes on the base to help position the model, and the two headed rat has one too. The seer and staff are separate, and the seer himself drops neatly onto the palanquin. It's been a lot of fun to sculpt, and I have to admit I'm a little jealous at having to let him go! He'll hopefully be just as much fun to paint."

Elysian Command Squad + Bloodbowl stuff
Hi,
I have put together and undercoated 5 of the bloodbowl team, I hope to get 4 done tomorrow and make a start on Luthor. I have painted a Command Squad for the Elysians and something for my own model collection a (mostly apart from hands + hammer) sculpted Warrior Priest.
Thanks,
Tom

Necro Bloodbowl Team has arrived finally!
Today I received the necromantic bloodbowl team that I ordered weeks ago from mail order! Apparently they are having some problems at the moment with stock, from what I hear they are doing something with their moulds or something... But anyway I have them now so I shall crack on and try and get them done ASAP to make up for list time! I apologise to the client for having to wait so long. I am going to start Count Luthor tonight.
Thanks,
Tom
Thanks,
Tom
